Workshop Brings Scaleups and Experts to Tampere

Scaleup Launchpad Workshop in Tampere May 26–28, 2025

Tampere will become a meeting point for scaleup companies as participants of the Scaleup Launchpad project gather for a three-day workshop on May 26–28, 2025. This international workshop follows earlier gatherings held in Tartu, Estonia, and Norrköping, Sweden.

At the core of the Scaleup Launchpad is a mission to support companies aiming for international growth – focusing on providing practical tools for export and internationalization, with the help of seasoned experts, entrepreneurs, and support services.

The Tampere workshop offers hands-on insights and concrete examples:

  • Internationally successful companies like Subsoccer and OAC share their growth stories

  • Expert talks cover topics like internationalization capabilities

  • Workshops dive into creativity and innovation development

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend IMAGINE the Citiverse, a large-scale event held at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre, and network in a relaxed atmosphere at the Urban Imaginarium afterwork at Platform6, Tampere’s startup house.

The Scaleup Launchpad project includes selected growth companies from Finland, Sweden, and Estonia, aiming to build a permanent model for helping scaleups go international – across borders, and beyond limits.

The program also introduces visitors to Tampere’s unique culture and lifestyle, including a tour of the city’s industrial heritage at Vapriikki Museum and a relaxing Finnish sauna experience at Sauna Restaurant Kuuma on the lakefront.

There is a limited possibility to get sparring from Ilkka Hynninen. He is a co-founder of Aito Media, one of the biggest Finnish production companies. At the moment Ilkka is focusing audiovisual work to international drama and documentaries. Currently I work through ICS Nordic. Ilkka is involved in businesses that make the world a better place: founder of WEGAN, a company that brings tasty vegan food to the masses. In addition, a partner and chairman in Sitomo, a company that brings psychological safety to workplaces.
